Videos that attract me!

I like some parts in this video but not all. I like the use of close up shots as i think they are very important to have in the video as it gives alot away about the artist. and this is important to show the artist in the video i think. LIke in this video, Angrez Ali, the actualy vocalist is shown alot throught close up shots and wide shots either on his own or with a few other people around him. I also like the dancers he has got. I think where bhangra is a very live and energentic, including bhnagra dnacers in videos adds more excitment and makes it more enjoyable. In this video what i also liked about it was the glimpses of the instruments that were shown to us. It shows us what the song is made up from and i think this is quite a priority.

New ideas for the video!

As we are creating our own video, i have been looking out for videos on tele that catch my eye. I'v been trying to look at the type of shots they include, angles, editing effects and obvously the style and what makes them different. While doing this i saw a video that was out early this year that i realy liked. I liked the way the background has been created by using the green screen. i think by using this you can get a variety of feels from it. you could add in a urban cityscape background which would make it look quite modern and attractive for a younger generation or you could even add in animations, changing colours for children or a party style with lots of lights and flashing. So i think it would be a good effect to use in our video as we need to make it more attractive for other cultures not just asians. This is the video called 'Balle Shava' by a group called 'Tigerstyle'.

This video By an artist called Imran Khan called Ni nachle means 'lets dance'. Overall i like this song but what caught my eye about this video was the camera work. I realy the the way the camera suddenly zooms in and out to the beat of the song. I think it gives the video more enthusiasm and groove as it focuses alot on close ups and their dance that is going on in the video. The editing is very fast paced aswel and i think the way the camera sweeps from one person to another adds that extra little speed to the video and makes it look more enrgetic. It also makes you move to the beat of the song and dance to it i think.
